allright, wasn't trying to be a jerk either, but basically was pointing out my conclusion of a 20 being too small, and that you are going to need some serious tank upgrades in the very near future (I suggest you look up info on the pacu you currently own if you have any doubt) in order to keep your current fish, as well as your future wants.

I forget what forum I at. This is Monster Fish Forum and everyone loves Monster fish here. I guess I should of chose my words better, but when you think about it. Hobbyist who make poor choses in choosing these monster fish, kill them off and being that there are millions of hobbyist who so do this all the time, each fish(s) that get killed off reduces the population if some of these fish. Remember not all fish are bred in captivity. Most are fished right out of the rivers and shipped. Red Tails are cool, but ppl can barely keep them and end off selling them to a zoo or something coz the yget to big. The hobbyist should be punish, but to protect the species it should be banned to prevent a major problem from contiuning.

The day I am not a noob in fish keeping is the day I shall give it away. I seriously believe there will always be something to learn.

With your stock list and current tank size, you fit "your" own description of "hobbyist who make poor choices in choosing their monster fish ", who "can barely keep them and end off selling them to a zoo or something coz the get to big"and you also state they should be punished.

I am simply making a point. One should practice what they preach or choose their words much more wisely.

On a side note. Calling everyone a bunch of d#@$$ will not do you any favors. The majority of people here are pretty cool and there are many very informative people amongst them to learn from no matter what your level of fish keeping.;)

1. Asian Red Tail Catfish- These guys are true monsters they are very hard to keep and will it it's owner out of house and home. They get to around 6 feet in the wild. In captivity they can reach that size, but most likely around 4-5 feet. They will eat anything even small animals like rats, small dogs blah, blah.

Anyone else notice anything wrong with this...like Asian RTCs only growing 24" or so...and yes I know he meant South Am RTCs.

I'm sorry, but complaining about people not being able to house their fish properly and then stuffing a number of huge monster fish into a 20 gallon is rather hypocritical. Where are you going to put these fish in a couple months?

:ROFL:your still here?
I know I joined before Dec 07 and I dont have a ton of posts and Im a noob.
I started off dumb in this hobby, but not as dumb as you. I had less fish in a 30 long and started upgrading within a month. I have 7 fish all less than 8" in a 125 and Im smart enough to know I'll need to upgrade in less than 6 month.
even your dream tank is way to small.
people like you need to do what I do...read threads and ask questions. You might learn something. I learned half of what I know from this place
