Makes me ANGRY!!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I could see where someone would put community fish in a 300 gallon tank. I wouldn't mind having a 300 gallon community tank at all! I bet all the inhabitants are pretty happy with all that room. They probably feel free again.

;)

There is no reason to piss off about just because your uncle keep little fish in his 300 gallon tank. First of all, it's his tank, he can put whatever he wants in it. And second, putting small fish in the big tank is better than putting big fish in a small tank.

First he's not my uncle. Second I'm not so much angry as I am jeleous. I mean I see what everybody's saying about it's his fish tank, he can do what ever he wants, etc, etc but I just feel he could do so much more with that much space.

Maybe he doesn't think that and he is happy with his current stock and setup, I personally love my shoal of neons swimming around in my 200 through the plant work. The aro is a nice addition but I find myself looking at the shoal of red/bluishgreen little monsters more often. :D

Well is his choice! :)
Maybe those are the fish he really likes and wants to have!
Bet ya they are pretty happy with so much space! ;)

Give him time, he might change his mind some day and feel like getting into bigger and more exotic fish, but if he is happy with his tank like it is why not give him a break and let him enjoy it! ;)

He probably worked his but off to get a big tank like that. Knowing that, Im sure he got the fish that HE wants. H e would probably say to you, "good luck on getting your dream tank one day."

Given the money, space, etc. a *very* large community tank done right is a thing of beauty.

I was at the Georgia Aquarium when they first opened, the Amazon setup was complete but without Monster fish yet... so massive 15x10x3 tank, with schools of 50+ cories, lots of cardinal tetras, etc. Looked fantastic.

For those of you who wanted to see a 300 gallon with Cories, and Tetras here you go.

This is not my tank. I saw it on utube, then decided to check out the site, which is www.nobobo.com.

(I hope nobody takes offense to this, as it is just my opinion)

Oscars are big, mean, ugly brutes that are (again, IMHO) aggressive, bad with most cool fish, and not a fish that I would keep with any fish I like. They also get pretty big.

Arowanas (yet again, IMHO, no harm meant) are pretty much tankbusters that get DE (which is ugly IMO). They are bland too, no stipes or dots (see my sig- Leporinus, CLs, Fire Eel, etc.). AND they eat pretty much everything which can fit in their mouths.

I find them so pretty and adorable! :) But then again I also find mole-rats pretty... and pretty much anything that has eyes or antennas adorable... so I guess I'm just weird....
