but for the sheet i need it will be like $150 on this one site ,can i go to home depot and get some for cheaper?????

Home Depot won't have what you need. They have 1/4"- 48"x24" sheets of extruded acrylic for about $40 per sheet . You want Cell-Cast Acrylic.
I've order acrylic from Delvies more than a few times, they do a great job in cutting acrylic with minimal saw marks.

Shipping costs are high if you need pieces larger than 48"x24" though.
