Making a tank escape-proof.

I'll look that stuff up. :)

So I got the Bichirs! First thing they did was go hide in the corner where all the Pleco poop settles, of course. And then the Red Tail Black Shark went over to them and raised up and her fins, trying to communicate that SHE rules the tank...for now...

So they went and laid by my driftwood. God, they're so cute.

you can find it anywhere that sells yarn crafts. EVEN in my town!
for strong fish you can double it, block their "line of sight" out to the wild blue yonder with something like a dark opaque plastic sheet. I think when fish see a light hole thru an otherwise covered top, their instinct to jump for bugs is triggered.

[your pic attachment doesn't work for me] yet.

That's cute about the dog helping you dig, and ps I totally agree about the low water levels... I hate when my water levels are visible (I like them above the bottom of the trim, it makes the filters run quieter too, but I'm an aesthetic nut).

Post pics when you get your bichir!

That's the exact same thing I do. It's so noisy now, and it's in my room.
What I wanna do is make a giant drip plate like the ones in wet/dry filters, and have the water coming out of my filter go onto it, so that it'll look like its raining in my tank. Maybe I'm weird but I think that'd be so freakin badasss. :)

And yes Nelly doesn't dig, but she will if I tell her to. Much easier than manually making a hole...it had to be deep so that the foster dogs don't try to dig up that oh-so-yummy smell....it's happened before.
