Sorry couldn't get any pics, he was a bit lively out the tank.
Six pores, 3 each side
41 or 42 'LL scale count.
6 to 10 inch in less then 2.5 months .
Got the tank planted at last.

Should have atleast 4 pores minimum on each side.

I will wait till he gets around 12inch. I have looked a few times and can still only see three each side, but they only reach down just over half the length of the jaw.
Still very happy with his growth rate though.

I have a few pics like that, three are easy to see, but he has a few black markings which I think are hiding the others, even out the tank the last ones are very hard to make out. Mind you yesterday ended up being a rush job so could have quite easily missed them.

So yesterday before I started draining the tank the wolf came upto the glass gills flaired, originally I was going to plant the tank with him in it, but he started getting close to my hand gills flaired so I netted him, I like my fingers I find them practical for many different tasks.
Today a day after being netted flaired up.
Is there an age or size when they hit sexual maturity.

So yesterday before I started draining the tank the wolf came upto the glass gills flaired, originally I was going to plant the tank with him in it, but he started getting close to my hand gills flaired so I netted him, I like my fingers I find them practical for many different tasks.

I think wolves hit it pretty fast like 6-8". I read that somewhere but I'm not into breeding fish so not something that'll stick with me. I know it's under a foot when they can start.

Thanks, certainly seems to be slowly getting more aggressive.

Just put it in a net on the opposite of the tank, they usually respect the net to some degree, it stresses them but will keep you safe lol
