Been there done that at one point I had over 1,100 gallons of Tanks but those days were over a decade ago don't have the time or the money to support that right now so the plan is is the keep the two tanks that I have now of 40 in an 80 gallon Cube and then upgrade to 200 + when it comes time

Not looking to get into the debate of whether it's moral to keep animals in a box; has been discussed many times on this board.

What i'm saying, is that the shrimp has those claws for the purpose of grabbing fish. That's what it does. If you don't want something that grabs fish, don't get a giant prawn. Don't buy a giant prawn and then purposely disable it, for doing what it's evolved to do. Responsible thing to do IMO, is buy creatures that are compatible with your setup.

I totally agree. I would keep it with more compatible Tankmates.

Dee duh dee well close when I moved out of my parents I had 8 tanks totaling around 600 gallons then I was in the military then had my 100 plus gallons then i got rid of all my tanks but one long story..... that tank is still in storage . And I currently have 9nly 130 gallons running between two tanks

it's actually a thai freshwater prawn... these prawns are used for prawning in Asia..

if you remove the claws, then he may have trouble feeding...iirc they will need some salinity in the long run...
