Malaysian trumpet snails as Cichlid food.

Assasin snails, snailtraps, if you're really feeling evil & risky copper, but that might earn you a tank crash.
I was thinking, they might be able to eat the little ones,
I stoped at pet co, and they are infested with MTS, so I got some for free, in quarantine currently.
I read up on them and they reproduce like rabbits. With the young born live. Would a mbuna eat the slug, part, and leave the shells intact.
Note, they killed all my assasin snails, the native creek snails, only survive in the sump.
So I don' want to compromise my tank, with a potential infestation.
So any body got lake Malwai mbuna, with a MTS problem? I will test them eventally on a 10 gallon with a full grown mbuna.

Some fish will aggressively harass and kill any snail, if they killed the clea helena, I imagine they'd kill the MTS.
As far as I know, nothing will just crunch up MTS - I've heard they'll even break puffers' teeth.

I used to drop them in my mixed mbuna tank. Smaller snails would be eaten before they hit the bottom. Shell and all.
No. My boss fish used to be my male swordtail, but he got chewed up this week in a fight with an Australian rainbow. Far from Malawi Cichlids lol.
A Rhoadesii is a snail eater, but I doubt they would touch the small hard MTS, but who knows. I have heard Yellow Labs have before, but it is hit or miss. The same for Loaches...some won't touch the MTS while others won't. Not overfeeding and well...copper will fix the problem...the thing is if you introduce them to your tank well...they can be hard to tame lol. The number of Assassin snails to get them under control is absurd. Plus MTS will be in your canister filter...so they will continually be re-introduced. I guess they could be considered beneficial...but I am not a fan lol.
