sorry if this is a dumb question, but whats the difference between the chancho, amarillo, and barred midas. i cant tell them apart

Very little difference visually. All are closely related.

Chancho only come from Lago Apoyo, amarillo only from Lago Xiloa, and citrinellus (midas) come from.....well..... "Lago Everywhere Else!"

Very nice - I always like this male a lot, especially in the breeding colors.

Here is a pic of the same fish about 3 months ago. Look at how much closer in size he was with the female. You guys can judge if they are slow growing. He's put on almost 2" and alot of mass. I got a feeling this guy is going to be a monster.

I may be wrong, but maybe it depends on the source? The male that I have that came from Reagan, isn't this fast grower and I agree others that he is somewhat slow grower.

I can't wait for mine to grow bigger, though the base color of his Dad (the one Reagan has) is a version of gray (and not yellowish as yours).
