Male Henlei wasting away.

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Hey also from a big time Discus guy he swears by this don't know if it's totally safe for rays or not and i am not possative on spelling But here goe's (Vermosil) also used for internal parisites in birds comes in powder form talked to this guy quite often when he is on the forum pm wise he swears Prazi and others don't come close to killing all internals but this stuff does ...One thing they will stop eating while treating so definatl a danger that way but something to consider ...

Panacur, not yet. Ray safe?

Guppies, minnows, grass shrimp, blood worms, Tilapia pieces, Smelt Frozen raw shrimp, leaf worms, nightcrawlers, redworms, blood worms, black worms, squid, blah blah blah blah. Tried it all! Gunna keep trying it all. Thanks for the support.

Gunna read up on Panacur and consider it. Thanks. -FM

have you tried the small water changes with no dewormer or anything like that . maybe just dechlor with the above foods or are you still treating lots and doing lots of water changes and potentially stressing out the ray

hope he pulls through as whatever it is that does the trick coud be handy for others

good luck

The last water change I did was >5 days ago. I use water straight from my well, it is some very, very nice stuff. I have not used any treatments for >5 days ago as well. I am offering live ostracods and black worms to him. I am suspicious that he is eating but that I just haven't actually caught him in the act. He responds to the stimuli that the ostracods and blackworms provide but I haven't noticed any tell-tale signs he is consuming them. The shy female Henlei in the tank with him is eating them. I will report back in a day or so. -FM Thanks all.
