I wouldn't get rid of the other three yet. The likelyhood of getting four males is slim. The parents of your fish produce about 70% females to males. Put the Alpha male in a breeding net for a while and let the other three sort it out. I would be surpised if another female doesn't step out for a subdominant male or even display for the caged male. I have a few extra females if you don't get lucky. Don't expect much of a hump on these guys. My old Alpha male tank boss didn't get one even when he had a harem of females to show off to.

How long should I keep him in the breeding box? I figure I'll feed him in the box for now...

Not sure if I would call it a hump, but he is still young.

I haven't witnesses the kind of aggression your alpha male is showing. If you have a pair form you might wan to pass him on and keep the less aggressive male to breed with.

I feel like it's because he's a bit larger than the others now, he's around 2.5" and the others are around 1.5", but we'll see what happens while he's in the breeder box

Leave him in "jail" for a few days/a week while the weaker fish become more comfortable... also, try to feed the smaller fish fresh healthy food like live mosquito larvae so they bulk up quickly. Then introduce him back, he won't recognize the re-arranged environment as "his" territory and won't be as aggressive.

If there is indeed another female in the tank, and they eventually pair up... no other fish will survive in that tank size, especially males. So yeah, wait til you know for sure and then take them out.
