Um, the anal hole is behind the breed tube, the breed tube is the white spot (which is clearly larger than the anal hole). As I've said, I have had 4 females and their vents all looked like the OP. Why are you arguing this? I currently have a female I could take a photo of the vent and it'd look just like the one in this thread. That's not even including the blue splotches on the face.

You are wrong, you got the anus/vent backwards. The anus is the closest to the head, and that is a male Jack Dempsey, the vent on the females is considerably larger than the anus.
I give up. The know it alls are right. With that said, I'm out. Done with this place as it's nothing but overly arrogant *******s.
Sorry that you got offended but you are wrong and getting mad won't make it right. I too was and am wrong many times but instead of throwing a fit, I learn. Guess that makes me arrogant.
Here is the correct way of venting a Cichlid:
Sometimes the vent will be more or less the same size in both sexes, but the female will be more rounded like an U and the male will be pointed like a V. As you can see the anus is always closer to the head in all the species pictured above.

The vent shape looks female to me. But, the size looks male.
