I'm still not sold that's a male, I think as it gets bigger those blue spots around its gills are gonna blend to its jaw more. Mine did the same thing.But hey, if they all are males then no fighting over females at least right? Lol

Haha exactly. I'm not going for breeding and would like to add other cichlids but am cautious do to hybrids. I'll try and post a pic of my Carpintis. See if I can get it sexed

Here is my Female, like i said her blue on her gills spread to her jaw as she got alittle bigger. She still is small though.
