Male or Female Red Devil??

Never even heard of king kong done some looking around and definately seems like one. It is nice looking but I have to say Im a little disappointed that I turns out to not be RD/Midas but I'll just have to get used to the idea. Can I expect to see any classic amphilophus behavior out of this fish i.e. aggression, intelligence?

I've owned almost a dozen parrot or parrot-hybrid fish and their personalities have varied widely. Some are skittish but friendly once they get to know you, and others have been nearly as aggressive as a pure RD. They are naturally curious and the intelligence level seems about the same as a RD.

I just saw one last Sunday at an lfs (Allaquatics in Hamilton, NJ) that had to be damn ner a foot long. I didn't thik they got that big.
