Why such hate on the OPs fun project? As long as he labels the fry, if he were to sell them, there's nothing wrong with that. There a LFS that sells tons of dovii x texas fry.

Back on topic. I am very interested in this cross because I would want to get some Texas shaped fry with jaguar colors or jaguar sized Texas looking ones. It seems convicts and Texas' have very strong genes when hybridized.

Update...the Tex/jag and jag has spawned two more times and not produced any fry,but they get along well....two schools of thought:...A good pair could be a pair that get along well and produced lots of fry or one that produce no fry....
I moved my other Tex/jag to another tank..he has a look that some may like...
