I want some... I love hybrids. I want to cross a jag and texas then take the fry from that which would be the best looking males and run them in to a bp and rose queen.

Aggression you do know not every sinlge flowerhorn made were intended nor did they look pretty alot of them were ugly ducklings greyish with few pearls and I've always enjoyed the look of a texasjag and have since I've seen one several years back you know you would probly lose your freaking mind if you knew what went on in fish farms with hybridizing fish and I think chic's onto something I would want a blue spangled jag in my tank for sure it thats a new to add to my list of hybrids that I want to own texasjag, manaconda, ebdemspy jag, and festeadovii and ive already made some texasdovii so thats off the list for now

Uhm dude thats called a interspecies hybrid taking varients of one species from different locations and crossing them together naturally they've been separated for thousands of years so genetics are different its kinda cool your doing that your making primal jag

Look there, the answer is in the first sentence. To the op, keep doing what makes you happy. I believe the first hybrid I saw was a texas/jaguar almost thirty years ago. Random pairing in a friend tank, but was a cool looking fish. Otherwise I wouldn't remember it after all these years.

But that would be a side project. I would use the jag just for size. I had two males that was brothers. The biggest one was 16" and the other one was 14"
Update.... eggs fungused,and did not hatch...don't know whether or not I will allow it to happen again.....time will tell....
