Knowing the source of where he got the fish personally myself. The fish was properly vented and I'd trust the source 100% and beyond. As mentioned earlier in this thread if stressed or not dominate it can get coloration of what may look female. I myself have seen this on several fish. Color means nothing with a positive male vent.

Nothing bad. Calm down man. Mrmann sent you that fish and I saw him before. And They have moods and looks. He sure don't look like when he was with Mrmann.

Wow! MFK really becomes a cocky place sometimes when you see a 100 odd post old guy trying to take the upper hand on a guy with more than 3,500 posts!!
If it's vented as a male, then it IS a male.
And 'learning by pictures' comment doesn't make any sense, as anyone with a bit of understanding with big cichlids would know that just by appearance your Trimac does look like a female in the pics you posted!

Lol cocky? Please! Old? Well I guess 30 is the new 40 hahahahahaha! And this is the reason there are always going to be learning curves, and I did go back and look at the pics again and again btw! How could anyone makeup a vision of seeing black in the beginning of the dorsal rays on this fish? (It's rhetorical) Also, your snooty comment about the amount of post I have means nothing! Just like any other quick draw prick on any other web site you think that more than someone or bigger numbers makes you smarter or more knowledgable than the rest! Titles do not scare me nor do high post numbers! You and the other two big tough posters put your panties on the same way as everyone else sweet heart! So maybe instead of starting ding bat ignorant rants about "the smaller posters fish" we should enjoy looking at each others fish and grow as a community like this website was meant to do! What do you think Mr 300 some odd post guy?
