All charges against the Oscar abandoner were dropped due to the fact that fish are NOT classified as animals!

Hello; Well this raises some additional questions for me. I always thought of fish as animals but that is just me.
Dropped charges seems right for someone being evicted.

According to North Carolina's animal cruelty statute fish are the only vertebrate group that are not included for some reason....in observance of that omission the district attorney opted not to pursue the case any further.

In my opinion the DA didn't even have to use the exclusion as way out of charging the guy..The guy's circumstances should have been reason enough to drop the case.

Yes, this is good. In this case "Big Brother" didn't even know the rules. He never should have been booked as apparently he didn't break any laws. I hope he didn't have to hire an attorney to fight this BS.

people get "overcharged " every day .. it makes it easier for lazy prosecutors to get a "deal", rather to lose a case .. it's never about fair , it's about "winning"...
