I wouldn't go so far as to call the brother fat. I mean he got a weight problem. What's he gonna do? He's Samoan.

How do you tell the difference? Mine looks similar to that one but doesn't have the same pointed dorsal/anal fins as my male loiselli...so I guessed my jag was female

Looks more female to me. The lack of spotting throughout the body.

Check the last pic. Spotting under the vertical bars as well as on the face plus the pectoral fins and also head shape say male to me. Why do you guys think female? Not as many spots?

its a male.. its also a younger specimen and with time will be much easier to tell for sure 100% but im 99.9% with its a male. it has plenty of spots. more than mine in my avatar and he is my breeder and i KNOW hes a male.
