They can get rather large and impressive looking. $40 @ 12" is a deal if its decent quality. can you get a pic of it and post it?

What size tank do they need or the smalles that I can get away with? Is there any tankmates it can have?
Im not good at guessing minimum tank size but your 150 would be good. They can co-exist with oscars. Mine lives with a big silver aro, 2 clown knives, an oscar, an ablino channel cat, and a chinese perch

I got the impression that jags can only live with them till they reach puberty then they will pretty much kick any fishes ass that is in the tank with them especially oscars
I've seen alot of pics online with people that have 150gallon + tanks....
They had some Huge Oscars that could hold their own against big Jags. But those tanks are bigger than 120 gallons so it would make sense...less aggression...

I got a 34 cm male. If you buy them keep them in a species tank. Don't even have the female in with them. or vice versa. Super agressive fish, kills anything similar in shape, and will eat just about anything that can fit in it's mouth

any megenese are actualy jaguars, theirs another jaguar species that's more shaped like a bass. but are actualy the same.
