so to breed these do you need 2 and then one acts as the male temporarily and fertilizes?

No. They are self-cloned. 1 is good enough... I started out with 2 just in case... :screwy::grinno:

oh ok awesome thanks

My rays like them :)

Great.

Keep it up.

The next batch of baby crays is about to be released. I still have a few left from the first batch in the same tank. I'm guessing the older crays may prey on the babies? Has anyone keep multiple generations together?

I keep multiple generation together. Usually there are no issues but all crays are opportunistic feeders so if a baby cray walks right into the waiting arms of a larger sibling--chances are good that it may get eaten. Marmorkrebs are one of the most tolerant of all the crays concerning the eating of smaller crays and a lot of times they will not eat smaller crays even when the smaller crays are walking all over them.

Thanks. I have now removed all of the first batch just in case. The new babies have just started to drop off.

how fast do these grow? i want to run a few tanks to breed some for feeders for my future crocadillian. lol.
