A fellow Marmorkreb keeper, who has been extremely successful over the years, attests to lower temperatures being ideal for reproduction in this species. While that's not verified/proven information (at least not by science, astacologists, etc), based on his success rates I'd say it's something to keep in mind.

Also, bare in mind, there are several species that bare similar markings to Marmorkrebs, and their overall appearance. You may have a species that requires a male for reproduction. But this will depend on your source, most auctions, sellers on MFK/AC, etc know what they're selling, so it shouldn't be an issue. Just an idle thought, though.
