3.) That temperature may be too high for them. I keep mine in non-heated tanks, that are usually in the low 60's. A fellow Marmorkreb keeper, who has been extremely successful over the years, attests to lower temperatures being ideal for reproduction in this species. While that's not verified/proven information (at least not by science, astacologists, etc), based on his success rates I'd say it's something to keep in mind.
heaters coming out tonight :D

4.) Also, bare in mind, there are several species that bare similar markings to Marmorkrebs, and their overall appearance. You may have a species that requires a male for reproduction. But this will depend on your source, most auctions, sellers on MFK/AC, etc know what they're selling, so it shouldn't be an issue. Just an idle thought, though.
I got mine from Aquabid. Maybe I got taken; I'm not surrendering yet. When I do there will be video of the crays swimming in the Oscar tank :irked:

Meh, don't worry too much about it. I've only come across a handful of people who were selling crays under the name of Marbled Crayfish/Marmorkrebs that weren't actually Marmorkrebs (they were usually P. fallax which can often be a dead on ringer in appearance for a Marmorkreb). Usually, if it says Marbled Cray/Marmorkreb on Aquabid, it is. ^_^

I'm still hopefull. I took the heater out last night and the tank had dropped 4 degrees by today and they were much more active. I'll do a wc tonight and let them ride. Mine are all blue now. Maybe I'm not feeding them right. I'm going to start dropping in fresh veggies.

Got tired of wayting fed them to my oscar they were gone in 10 seconds and pict up 1 male and 3 female lamprologus ocellatus isanga pic when the tank ic set up, cloudy from the sand right now.:D

Color morphs are common in this species. They're not true color morphs though and they should disappear after the next molt.

What's your lighting in the tank? The blue coloration (there's white, light blue, olive green and red) is thought to be result of having little to no artificial lighting. Though, plenty of people still believe it to be result of diet, pH level, etc. (There's really no definitive answer yet).

ive heard that diet can play a part in coloration. the more veggies it get the more of a green tint will be present and the more meaty diet will produce a reddish tint to them.

Ive been wanting to raise marmokrebs for a few months now, but need to set up a new tank for them.
