LEO IS ACTING FINE BUT HAS LITTLE WHITE SPECKS ON HIM. THE DISC IS ACTUALLY PEELING OFF. THIS JUST HAPPENED OVER NIGHT. MOST CAME FROM 2 DIFF. SHIPMENTS. NONE WERE SICK WHEN ARRIVED. ACTUALY THE BEST BATCH I EVER GOT IN I THOUGHT. THEY WERE NOT EVEN SKINNY. THEY ONLY STOPPED EATING 3 DAYS AGO. IT ALL HAPPENED SO FAST I HAD NO TIME TO REACT. I UP THE TEMP, ADD SALT, AND PRAZI. THATS IT. LOTS OF WC. THESE FISH WERE NOT CHANGED WHAT SO EVER. REALLY ODD. I TRIED TAKING PICS BUT THEY DONT TURN OUT. GOOD THING I HAVE 8 MARBLES LEFT IN ANOTHER SYSTEM. BUT MY FAV. FEMALE WAS IN THE DEAD. I REALLY WOULD LIKE TO FIGURE THIS OUT. THANKS

I BROUGHT OVER 80 RAYS IN IN 08 AND THIS IS THE FIRST IVE SEEN OF THIS. AND AFTER 6 WEEKS OF QT? WOW. IVE TALKED TO SEVERAL PEPLE AND THEY SAID THAT MARBLES TEND TO BE THE ONES WITH THE UNEXPLAINABLE DEATHS

I HAVE A PRO CLEAR 300 WET/DRY 3 CANISTERS AND 2 HANG ON THE BACKS. THAT DOES MAKE SENSE BECAUSE I DO HAVE ALOT OF BUILD UPP IN THE FILTERS. BECAUSE OF FEEDING ALOT. BUT WATER IS PERFECT. HOW DID U FIND THAT OUT?

I took a sample of tank water and a sample of water out of the sump and took it to the shed a friend of mine worked their he was able to do some testing for me. I thought the testing I was doing was enough it wasn't. He found high amounts of negative bacteria in the sump sample . He also found waste from black worms that were living in the sump. Has the feeding pattern changed at all for the leo?

I am not glad you have this problem but it does make me feel less crazy. When my tank broke out with this I felt like I was the only one. I have never seen it before or heard of it happening to anyone else. I still don't have a good answer. I took some of the worm clumps and put into two separate baggies. I added a 10x dose of prazi to one bag and a 4x dose of metro to the other. After 3 days they were still alive. That is why I bleached the whole tank and filtration system. Sucked I had to start over with the cycling which I did fishless but I have no worries now. I would move all the rays to a new established tank asap and then do you med treatments there. Just be careful and not transfer any worms which will be hard to do. Maybe net the rays and pick them up by the tail with a heavy rubber glove so you don't have to cross water over.
