Figures, I search for a year to find one, and the one I get is a retard...

Not retard - just extra shy ... for now :D

I am sure he is just getting used to his surrounding. As long you give him clean water and air, he will come around ... in your case, it seems later than sooner

the second pim was dead - see the previous posts: found alive in the sump but died shortly after <sigh>

the remaining pim is growing at ridicoulous speed - outcompetes RTCs

there is something wrong with MFK attachment thingie so no photos or videos (i finally got a feeding video - lots of hand feeding)

stay tuned

Yep, seemed to have no problem ...always swiming together

I have two that are 16" or so and they are sepperated now because they fought like cat's and dog's.

Pleco is not an option - had that before and it was a disaster for RTCs and gars. Fei feng i quite like EXCEPT i have never seen one for sale over here AND it will be killed off hand for being silver colored fish. I tried pacus many times - all were killed (not eaten) ... look at it more positively, the algae covered bottom is like an extra filtration ^^

I've searched for a long time and the only pleco's I can keep at a larger size are the rhino pleco's and the albino gibbaceps. Normal gibbaceps would probably work as well. All the other pleco's have been seen sucking slime coat.

Oh, by the way your collection is insane. I'm sorry to hear about your loss. I would have been irate about the people who turned off your equipment.:irked: Your setup is awesome. Glad to hear the existing pim is doing so good. True survivoir!!!

Great thread ;) Nice setup. I too would like to see vids of your tanks :D

Thanx for your kind words. Just cleaned out all the algae from the glass - good god that took long but it is clean now - but no shots of the clean out tank. Replaced two pumps (one is 5000 L/h beast) so that should make it even better.

There is video of the tank though it is outdated http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=219359

- when monster gars and paimas were alive ... 2009 was very unkind to me.

New vid coming up this week - HAND FEEDING!!! the internet finally sorted itself out (or IT guys sorted it out)
