yes they are illegal and fall under the lacey act here in the US...you cannot buy or transport them anymore.

nope!! you will see in a few weeks when I email you some pics what I have been doing this clarius was simply turned in and instead of them destroying it at the facility they brought it to me.

Their airbreathing capability is quite cool also, he surfaces quite often while venturing around and always stays right out in the open.

The other day I put a pice of fish meat on top og the tank and mine tryed to get it, he was almost 10" out of the opening of the top of the tank trying to get it but could not, very funny to watch.

ha...I always check out everything I just dont comment much if I do not have anything constructive to say your fish are very nice.

it would just look like a spaztic vacuum cleaner moving around the tank...wouldnt be much entertainment as he inhales everything and just keeps moving...may make one later on showing his habits,he is quite fun to watch go about his quirky way.

I have this fish legally so no harm in sharing some pix with you all and yes they are on the lacey act and restricted.
