marbled crayfish question..experienced answer's please..

very nice..good luck to a happy hatching..mine is still hiding..how long does it usally take for the eggs to form? shes been hiding for about 3-4 days..i drop food for her and u just see a claw grabbing it..even when i added the new marbled crayfish to the tank..she still stayed hiding..
 
I don't know about how long it takes for eggs to form.. I think it's like fish.. they have the eggs inside, but then they lay them. I know that one day they will be normal, next day they are berried. If she is eating, she is more than likely berried.

If you move the decoration or whatever she is hiding in, you should be able to tell (her tail will be tucked), and it shouldn't disrupt her. I have cleared their tank out many times while they are berried, and chased guppies around and they didn't care.

she dug her way between the pvc pipe and the back of the fish tank..i took a glance and it looks like her tail is tucked but i tell if she's berried..i'll go and take pics right now and post them up..
 
Here is a pic of the adult tank with some adults... and then a pic of the growouts.. and the one with the eggs. It's possible that yours is getting ready for eggs.

i'm hoping she is ready..shes walking around somewat but her tail is tucked like the one in ur last pic..its weird..she staying hiddin behined everyhting..i try not to go behined the tank trying not to scare her..
 
She's probably ready just hasn't laid yet. I wouldn't worry too much.
 
Yeppp... that's what I have mine in. I think I have 6 in mine. Just give them lots of places to hide, and climb.

yea its cycling now..i have a 1 inch thick natural color gravel..i got 6 pieces of the 3 way pvc piping and 5 small flow pots for them to hide..but until it cycles they are all in a 10g but with more then plenty of hiding spaces..the 40g i have 2 of those zoo med turtle canister filters and 1 hob filter..zoo meds canister filter really helps clean up the mess of these crayfish..
