IME marbled crays don't touch fish, even dead ones.
So the fish should be fine.

I read that marbled crays aren't as nasty as other crays and they should harm fish but I cannot speak from experience.

Guess time will tell. I wouldn't be upset if the marbled crays too k down a few mollies lol. I personally hate mollies they are very persistent and nippy towards eachother but they are live bearers and my gf likes em.

You are definitely going to need to cover the intake to your filter. IME my crays won't kill fish but they will eat fish that are already dead.

Yes, I have the intake covered with a fine mesh filter bag that I wrapped around tightly. Would be great if they ate any molly babies that didn't make it. So far I've had them on broken up massivore pellets.
The mollies eating baby crays iis however a concern for me. Any clues as to when the crays will release eggs? (If that's how it works) I want to be a step ahead and place mom into a 2.5 to drop them off then return her to the 20long.
I have a 75 gallon that I house crays and cherry shrimp in. The crays will eat the shrimp if they can catch em, I've seen it happen... I would suggest you upgrade your 20 gallon to a 55 for the crays. They can be a little territorial. You want to have space for them. Also, they can get to a decent size... 3"+, but takes them a good year to reach that size.
