Marbled Crays/Mollies/Snails

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I have a 75 gallon that I house crays and cherry shrimp in. The crays will eat the shrimp if they can catch em, I've seen it happen... I would suggest you upgrade your 20 gallon to a 55 for the crays. They can be a little territorial. You want to have space for them. Also, they can get to a decent size... 3"+, but takes them a good year to reach that size.

Ok. If I have any luck with them I will put them into a 40 breeder ( I hate tall tanks :-P ). Thanks for the advice

I'm sure you'll do fine with em. Just feed them a lot... Lettuce, cucumber, fish pellets, zucchini, algae wafers, etc. They will eat anything.

Mollies kept eating the fry tho everyone I asked at LFS said they wouldn't. Long story short mollies are out as they'd eventually eat the baby crays anyway and just kept the Marbled Crays and the snails.

The crays have each molted several times and have grown a bit, they also eat the snails. Every once ina while I give them a carnivore or massivore. They also can munch on the cheapo plant in there so far so good.... where are the baby crays lol????

Largest of 4 crays is just over an inch. The rest are just under and inch or so.
