Think ima go with the caribsea stuff already found a place that has it and then see what I find at home depot with a darker color and mix it. Muaahahahahah....... will keep yous guyses posted

if it is black or dark on the bottom your stingray will go very dark, if you get bright gravel or white sand the stingray will go much brighter
Went with a bag of this stuff to see how I feel about it.
Its the "crystal river" color. They only had this and the tahitian moon black that I already was using.... let's see.
Maybe I can find 3 bags of different earth tones n mix em up. Will check tomorrow at some Jersey store that I know carry this stuff.
If anyone in the tristate area comes across a bag of this in "sunset gold" let me know where. I think a few of those and one of these "crystal river" bags will acomplish the look.

As I siphon out the rest of the black sand, the motoro instantly gets lighter..... wow....
Added some very light almost white super tropical sand and will mix in some darker shades tomorrow. Will post update of tank when the water clears tonight.

I wish they did... I just put them in a few days ago. They need to settle in.
On a side note, check how light the motoro got in one night.
Bad day..... my friggin clown managed to eat another on eof my datnoids.... so how I have to put the divider back in till i figure out what im going to do with it and i THINK i managed to somehow wash the marbling off of my little ray. Her sister is very marbled as she was and now her base looks very much plain motoro. Why life? why screwme all the time...? Lets see... smh
