Marbles and Pearls part (2) which do you prefer?

I would vote Marbles but that's because i'm too broke to buy a Pearl..:(

Im sitting on the fence here also,im not sure which is my favourite either like many of you that have simply said you like them both equal.
Ive totted up the score however and the Marbles win hands down,i make it 10 to 3 in favour of Marbles.....very interesting!

marbles hands down but lil bill is the best pearl i have ever seen i think you should let him knock up your nicest female marble and see what happens :P

ps... do you or neil have pics of bills parents?
 
Pearls are the best but then again I am a little bias ;)
Lil Bill parents are not as good looking as he is .
F1 is usualy better.
Pearls are ugly when they are small and turn nice @18months onwards.
Richards marbles are special well selected fishes no doubt about it
He has a good eye for the fish.

I will post some photos tomorrow when I move some things around of the parent fishes , but I dont want to hijack Richards thread.

IMO marbles and pearls are a lot alike a lot of them are just ok looking then the nice ones are just awesome. i have purchased over 10 marble's and only one is close to the quality of yours.i would also say that there are some marbles out there that would prefer just a reg motoro. i am on the fence with this one as well.

Neil your more than welome to post pictures of lil Bills parents on this thread,without you i wouldnt have had such a fine fish in the first place,hes definitely one of my favourites,i will always be grateful to you for that.I have other Pearls ive purchaced from Neil,i genuinly believe his offspring are as good if not better than most,like he says the F1 pups are nicer than the parents,having said that i love his collection,i always say,if the parents are good quality then go with it,great genes generally produce quality.
Look forward to seeing the pictures Neil.

I agree with what your saying john C.When i was fish collecting in Brasil this time last year i showed pictures of my Marbles to several fishermen....they all said they were Pearl Rays,like you say top quality Marbles and Pearls are very alike.Most of the recent larger(sexually mature) Marbles that have been imported out of Colombia have at some stage had quite bold marbling between the spots,sadly though this has slowly but surely blended into the base colour which makes them look like a very nice normal Motoro but with more spots and chain linking around the outer edge of the disc.I too have seen some normal Motoros which i would prefer to these often washed out colour morphs.......we should never dismiss normal Motoros,theres some people on here with some striking Brasilian\Peruvian Motoros.
Im still on that fence too....ha ha!!
