How is it's temperment so far?

Amazingly controled. Upon introduction you could tell it was at the end of it's rope. Probobly from the shipping, netting, and of course very curious rays. At first whenever something touched it or get close it would open it's jaws wide and show off it's teeth. But both the rays tail and the Fire Eels head have been between the jaws, and the eel won't bite down. Its like the rays feel the teeth and pull away quickly.

Today they all seem familiar with eachother. The Moray comes out every once in a while for a lap around the tank. The rays no longer pounce on the eel. The eel isn't showing anyone it's teeth today. All in all I think the eel's settled in nicely. No issues with any tankmates so far. There's 6 rays, an aro, rck, 4 brycon, and a gulper.

The next hurdle will be feeding time. :nilly:

For those who haven't figured species out yet by the long slender body shape, another clue would be it came from Fugupuff. ;)

The new eel that this thread is about is a giant slender moray.

There's ALSO a Fire Eel in the same tank.

Don't know how this got confusing?

It got confusing because the only name mentioned was a fire eel and it wasn't in a pictures. I was also unaware of a any full freshwater eel, that's why I asked.
