I think the overall appeal is wonderful, although, aside from the lovely woodwork around the tank, I feel there is nothing on the inside. like 3 plants and gravel....

That's the whole appeal of the tank. Less clutter so the fish are the main attraction.

to see this tank in person is an experience of it own. there are 4 gar you can't see in pic all over 24" .
