I think we would get a similar reaction if a story like that was posted up. I'm sure someone could dig up a thread.

Can someone show me the golf club video link?
pm'd

if you're one of the swat guys, what would have done though?

tell them, "no, not this time guys, you guys go ahead and do this one without me"?

Did you get a chance to see the video I posted before it was deleted? Same scenario as this I can imagine. Cops gave no order. Bust down the door and fired 3 shots, killing the man holding a golf club about 15ft away. After he was down they gave the order. He couldn't have laid down and put his arms behind his head even if he wanted to.

I'll pm you the link if you want to see it.
so then the question is in this situation should this be considered murder ?? i mean if anyone else did this it would be murder right?? if i shot and killed a guy (no matter the reason say he killed my family i saw it and hunted him down) holding a golf club and it was not in my house and the guy didn't charge me would this be murder i think yes it would. so were do cops stand in terms of the laws they are supposed to protect??

i really don't care what the law says or what cops tell you. cops are above the law when walking the street and the evidence is out there to prove it.There word is going to be valued more than yours in the court every time because they took an oath. so i guess in the courts eyes unless it can be proven that they are lying with undeniable evidence the cop will win every time. and even when they lie half the time i bet they would win. like this marine supposedly the cops shields were riddled with bullets LIE and yet i bet not much will happen to the cops at least nothing compared to what happened to this family.

You definitely would be tried for murder. Cops are above the law though, remember ;) On that note, has a cop ever been tried for murder for wrongfully killing a civilian? If I remember correctly, the cop here in CA was convicted of involuntary manslaughter for shooting a guy in the back, that was handcuffed and lying face down on the ground. so then just because this is the case i would say it is impossible to trust a cop if they get an itchy trigger finger for what ever reason and u are in front of them ur screwed and the cop gets a slap on the wrist. that is just one more reason to let them do what they do with out resisting i mean lets face it even the people that are being "protected" are fearful of cops and have a reason to be we live in a country where justice is not blind (i know that blind justice is referring to race and innocent til guilty thing but...) it sees 90% of americans and turns its eyes from 10%.

This was a big story in the Bay Area. If it was not for the video, I believe 100% he would have been found not guilty... the other "cops" lied their asses off on the stand. There was multiple videos taken and it contradicted ALMOST EVERYTHING on the police report. Some lies were so bad 2 of them got fired but the female cop got rehired by the arbitrator.

The attorney for this case is the same for the crooked cops I posted earlier about setting up DUI's and stealing and dealing drugs... makes you wonder.

Just FYI, a million years ago, when I was an MP, we were 'allowed' to shoot if a person pointed their weapon at us. You do not wait until the subject pulls the trigger, then it's too late! The whole thing of this Marine's death is not if or when they could or should have shot the man. That team of men knew he was going to be armed. It should not have happened, they should not have been storming his home in the night. They could have waited some where else, out side, down the road, whatever, and taken him into custody during day light hours. The only time that 'No Knock' policy should be used is when the person is actually a fugitive, or if person has hostages, etc. I'm thinking he took a bullet for some thing he didn't do, probably framed, and who ever actually did whatever the cops wanted HIM for, that person is still free = and probably a friend of the cops. He was maybe gunned down to cover-up the real criminal. He cannot defend himself once he's dead. Know what I'm getting at here? or not?
