since it's said that feeder such as gold fish,guppies,ect.,ect are bad for the health of arowanas because of fat that promotes drop eye. would it be healthier to feed them marine bait fish?!!?

I kept a 24" aro for almost more than a year (before it jumped to its doom) mainly on floating pellets 2x a week and feeder fishes (native guppies) 2 batches.

it's damn too healthy it jumped the more than 1 foot clearance of my pond.
no drop eye or signs of it just dead aro.

<<< added the clearance to 2 1/2 feet now with plastic mesh wire.

Is there anyone on MFK with a wild caught silver? If so does it have drop eye?

i gave my brother my wild columbian. its over a foot and there is very little drop in its eye.
