Marineland 300DD

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Yea I think the leaking issue is overblown on them or has been corrected Doubt marineland wants to keep replacing 1800 dollar tanks for free. The main issue I heard with them is people putting them on homemade stands that aren't 100 percent level. Anyways I just bought one so guess I'll find out. But it's fully warranted. As far as weight me and 5 people lifted it no problem.

They changed the silicone they were using on the bottom seal. They used to use black on the entire tank. Now they use clear on the bottom. They did change the cross bracing a while back, but that wasn't too long after they first came out.

I still don't see the 300 on Marineland's spec sheet online. $1800 is a lot though. Glasscages is more in the $1400 range for a tank that size.

What are you doing for a stand?

I hear their warranty is only good if you use their stand. I guess that would be the best route.... could always build one. The Monterey (I believe it is) looks nice. Im not buying yet, just thinking this is the route I want to go.
