Hello all. I'm hoping to get opinions on the locality origin of my little marm. She has just started to develop some pattern over the past two weeks or so. Thanks for any help offered.

I’m sorry but I won’t be able to help with this question. At that size, it’s near impossible to tell. May be worth asking who you got them from.

Thank you. At what size do they start showing more useful markings for determining origin?

Once they hit maturity. I never kept marmorata but they should be similar to other sausage pikes. I’d say in the 8-10” range.

I sold a Tapajos Marmorata A few years back and she was 15" and still growing. She was measured out of the tank with a tape measure so there was no guessing involved.

This girl will absolutely not stay still enough for a photo, but here a couple of stills from a video. She is now about 10.5". Any thoughts on locality?
