Newb, all hard core fish keepers should know a big wolf will thrash a sh.

sorry for your loss, should of kept one of them in a rubber maid til sold.:banhim:

Thanks for the suggestion, but I'm far from a newb. Just because I haven't been on this site for a while, doesn't mean I haven't been on others. And just fyi, "pikes" are known jumpers so there is no way in hell I'd keep one in a rubermaid tub. Thanks for the suggestion though. I know you may have meant well.

I say newb because you lost a true monster fish, Pikes don't jump out like channa and wolffish do at any opportunity. I had a pike for years with open top tank.

Also rubber maid 18g. or so tub comes with a lid. fyi

good luck with your wolf hope you don't have any space for it to escape out of your tank.

Heres a pic of a 26" corba that jumped out, I had the lids with velcro straps.

Yep, that's how I lost my 15in common wolf. I even had some objects on top of the glass to weigh it down. Found the fish on the cement floor the next morning, barely alive, internal bleeding from the fall (red/bruised stomach), tossed him back in but he never recovered. :(
