there you go. if I were you I would swap the 125g to a 180g, most likely she wouldn't notice the change in width. if you go for a shoal of pygo then just tell her that they made babies, that's why there are so many in the tank now. lol

yeap. I learned that in the hard way but still not too late
the other trick is if she asks you to get rid of some tanks then do as she say and make some effort to try to get rid of some (by contacting ppl that you know won't take the tank from you) and over time I think she'll just forget about the whole business. that's something I'm experimenting right now, in hope that I get to keep my 55g

Hard to say as the growth rate is different than in captivity, could be just few years old

I just agreed to let her and the twins have absolute power and control over the entire house and yard and a portion of the gargage in exchange for half of the basement where I daily configure and recalculate how to fit in more and more tanks.
I recently got to set up 2 tanks (65g each) in each of the kids bedrooms. Explained it would be educational and help them learn responsibilities, conservation and respect for wildlife, etc, etc.
