In the air and I ain't comin down!
Didn't want to hijack Nic's thread so I just started my own on the subject. As for my tank. The Pinima,Sting Ray, and LTSN were already on Pellet's before I aquired them so no problem there. As for the one's I raised no luck but hey another day is another attempt at trying again. I don't know how you guy's use massivore it is SUPER MESSY comparied to feeder's and shrimp. Oh well feel free to chime in with any input comment's what ever.

My mono took quite while before he took to pellets, but I found that the best way is to use scallops and stuff them with carnivore cichlid sticks. I started using scallops because they are much easier to stuff with pellets than shrimp. After a while what I was putting in the tank was more pellet that scallop and I started to feed only pellets one at a time and magically he started eating them. I have never gone back!

I recommend Hikari Arowana sticks

The "mess" is only temporary and clears up in a couple of minutes. But I do understand what you're saying...Hikari foods as a whole are generally messy.

I have always stuffed my Shrimp with all Hikari brands and I feed scallops as well. I generally have the whole food spectrum covered. But I would like to see my young Cichla take them with out being tricked. But in due time. Yea I have an Arrow as well so I stuff these in sometimes as well. I am not worreid about getting them to come around because when there hungry the will catch on.

Man the mess that was made this weekend has got me a little skeptical about pellet's only! J/K I just don't like the mess that was left. I preffer to see glitter! :headbang2

Expensive! LOL Now that's funny. In this hobby if money is a problem then you may want to take up nitting!

But yea I get what your saying.

my buddy goes for the crazy hit method.... once the fish knows your coming to the tank and feeding it... and it is hitting on several prepared foods he just throws them in and it hits them.... my new guy i was told was feeding on massivore.... but he doesnt hit pellets like i would like...

That is why I stopped feeding Massivore. Too, too messy. Craps is everywhere after they poop it out. Not to mention all the bits and pieces that get's crumbled up when they eat it. Plus it stinks =-(

But my pbass love it....LOL

SO true so ture! Oh well what are we going to do. It was funny because i was thinking it would be some big pellet that would be all fancy looking and it was this little circular pellet thing that I needed to put at least 20 in the tank just to satisfy my Pinima and I still think he wasn't satisfied. Crazy man crazy. I still prefer Bio Gold myself.
