Here are the eggs when i first collected them. They are the size and shape of ping pong balls.

When she laid them... not good she dropped them in the water, but i'm hopeful I recovered them fast enough.

They are placed in a deli cup (2 per cup) with sand peat as the base and sphagnum moss.

Here are my three beasts. Mom is the big one on top. I believe dad is behind her. And my original is on the right. Sizes are 12"; 17"; & 20"

Just to put them in perspective. This is my 12". From 2 years ago. He has grown a little bigger since then. He is sitting on a 5g bucket lid.

I will post progress pics as things develop. When the chalk spot forms will be the next image more than likely.

Whitening and croaker from my local Walmart. They are already headed and gutted so I just stuff the cavity with turtle food and croc chow. Whatever whole fish the right size I can find for a good price I snag. Fish average 3" deep, and 8"-10" long for the big two. 4"-6" long and 2"3 inches deep for the little guy if that makes sense. They typically eat 2 or three at a time. If it fits in their mouth and down their throat they will eat it.

I was fortunate that the bigger two took to frozen fish right away. My smaller one is still a work in progress.

It varies, I try not to feed them on a set schedule. I don't want them to get obese. So I feed as much as they want every 2-3 days, sometimes longer. I usually fast them for a week once a month.
