they only ever get babies in about 3 or 4 inches so they are plenty small enough to swallow with out harm. Bigger ones though you are right to be cautious of.
forgot to mention there will be a yellow tail cuda and two tats with the turt will they hurt the turtle?
probably not but If they are much larger then the turtle is it possible. try and get an adult mata, they are really about the same price as the babies and that way, it could handle the current and the fish that you have in there.
i have five inch silverdollars a five inch clown loach and a five inch pbass wat size mata will be larger but not large enough to eat them
6-8" mata would be ideal for those fish but it will grow quickly and will be able to eat your fish within a year or so. Just make sure that you have everything set up to separate them when the time comes.
