thats right mike i remember u saying that she was preg and still getting beat on:(
i have decided to give her a longer rest and maybe move the male to the garge tank
its hard when i get greedy and want more pups money etc... i got to do whats best for her
 
I think that's the best thing for her Brent. Give her a break and let her heal up well. You're better off waiting for pups in the future than losing her now. Good luck and hope it all works out.
 
My males are pretty good about not biting the females after they are pregnant. There is the occasional bite here and there, but with 5 females to knock up in the tank, the 2 males are pretty busy chasing their next woman. when I know for sure most of the females are pregnant, I pull the males and put them back in the male pond until they birth, then I add the males again.
 
well my female knocked down the divider to get over with the male last night it does'nt look like he is going after her as much now?? it also seems like she wants to be with him when i get home tonight i am going to see whats up and pull his ass out if needed

i always kinda snicker even when i say you cant stress stingrays out when i think they cause the keeper more stress..... im actually happy right now that i have no more rays for a little while so lil stress to deal with..... keep us updated ...
 
my 8" motoro is already biting my 10 female.... hopefully it just means he is starting to mature... and not that he is going to be a very agressive male...
