Max. Size and Min. tank size?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
o alright if so i like the first one better so hopefully i can get ones like those. And could a juru mix in with this tank, lol sorry im saying this so much just kinda wanted one of these guys to

The one in the pricture you have is a Mono. And sure a Juru could fit in as long as ther is enough tank space. Monos get big so you are going to have to get a bigger tank to house them for life. I say you would be good with two or three fish in your 180 for about a year and a hlaf. Of course the time limit is depending on your feeding schedule. G/L. with what ever you get it Mono/Ocell, They will bring you joy no matter which kind you get.

alright lol i havnt gotten any yet, just searched the pics on google but ya i like them alot. and do ocellis stay smaller than monos, cause if so i will get ocellis.

Yes and ocells are beautiful as well. You are still going to need to upgrade with any of them at some point imo.. The only way you can make this work is raise it until it gets to big for you to house and sell it back or trade it back into your lfs.

Cichla need lots of room when adult. It's just a real reality that we cichla owners have to deal with. If you seen an 18'' Stream line predator swim at full speed into a feeder in a little tank you would understand fully! And when I say little I mean 180g. But don't get me wrong you have at least two good years in that tank as long as the filter can keep up and you keep a good husbandry schedule. This of course is just my advice and opinion. Others may disagree.

alrght thanks high rida and i get ya. you no its just like i dont think i can upgrade past a 180g so idk. you no i just dont want to be one of those people that have a big fish that im looking to dump because i was stupid to get it if you no what im saying

IMO just get a bunch or cichla, grow them out, sell them, and then repeat the process again and again.:grinno:
btw,its almost impossible to tell the difference between monos and occells when young.

alright i will do that. And also could i put like a some sort of pike, or some sort of SA/CA fish in with this tank
