Maximum and minimum tank size for oscars?

I will tell you why I don't like oscars. First, they are large messy fish that are relatively ugly. They are also common and often abused. They don't often play nice with other fish, and are not much fun in my opinion. I'd rather have lots of other fish than an oscar. i would only take an oscar in if someone didn't have room and I had room.

no more messy and nowhere near as aggro as most other large cichlids, i dont see the facts here only generalities, and a cop to what everyone else has already said. the only truth i see is in that they are common and commonly abused.

EDIT: i just reread that, i dont mean to attack you just posting counter point.

i can disagree. oscars arent messy, just need to know their eating patterns. not aggro if you keep em in the right size home. ugly? lol i think they are beautful fish. my two O's play nice with all my fish, especially with the angels. i guess everyones opinion is different:nilly:
