Maximum and minimum tank size for oscars?

I think some people have it out for them because they are so common and so many inexperienced people purchase them and raise them in non ideal conditions.

Ill admit long time ago (before the internet days) I had 3 oscars in a 30 gallon. I didnt know any better. There wasnt as many places to learn about the proper care except for the fish store employees and we know how educated some of them are.

Yes Oscars are a very common fish and stores sell them like crazy. It is sad to think out of all those fish, what is the percent that live a full healthy life. (I have one of the lucky ones).

oscars really arent any messier than any other large cichlid. if you feed them the right things they dont make any mess at all, and as far as bio load goes i have fish that are alot worse than oscars.

100 gallon is fine I think just for the two of them....But you know what they say...."the bigger the better!".....

I hate oscars, id take a shotgun to my tank and kill him right now but i dont have one. A shotgun no but a oscar yes ill never buy another oscar id rather crap ninja stars then have another oscar die by my hands.

oscars are great! very personable fish dont overfeed them and they wont be as messy.
