Okay, I have a peacock tank... in it I had a lot of mbuna it turns out. I setup a new tank and moved finally yesterday... after losing a front, little one... sad... anyway I have a few peacocks, a lab, livingston what can I add, I wanna a front too. Its a 150

I have a temp 30 with a johanni, male and female Melanochromis auratus, two kennyi, an OB red zebra, yellow zebra, red finned zebra... They are at most 2 or three inches, most short of two... I have a larger 55, will be moving them soon...

anyways can my mbuna be with my peacocks. or any of the ones I have listed above be with them...or am I forced to have more than one tank?

mbuna is something you want to keep with mbuna... I wouldnt mix them with anything else. I had some with peacocks before and it didnt work. Also I def. wouldnt put a front with them as fronts are more laid back mbuna will be to agressive for them..

the peacocks with the fronts is iffy, the fronts dont move much, and the fronts once they start growing grow fast. most peacocks i find in captivity dont grow as fast. and plus if youhave male fronts you dont want anything nipping at their fins.

It works =) I have a peacock/front tank and both fish have been pretty compatiable. I havent had any problems if anything the peacocks chase around my fronts which are larger then them. Anyways I havent had any problems. I would really suggest it for the 150gal. Then take some pics!!
