My $0.02....

I've never smoked pot, and don't plan on ever doing so... But I have seen WAAAAAY more damage caused by alchoholism than anyone I know who smokes pot on a regular basis.
Several people in my family are severe alchoholics and I would much rather see them sitting at home on the couch lighting up a fat blunt then out in the bar getting trashed, detroying thier livers, and getting stupid enough to go out and driving around endangering OTHER PEOPLE.
If pot makes people mellow and lazy, EXCELLENT! I work in Retail and repairs! If you've worked for any extented period of time with the public you'd understand where I'm coming from on this. ALOT of people would have alot less stress if pot was legal. Sides, the stuff's easy enough to come by anyway. Making it legal really wouldn't be that harmful.

There is a known phenomena called ' marijuana amotivational syndrome'..all you tokers out there should google it and ask yourselves if you are really doing the most that you can with your lives or just dulling your wits and allowing the couch to envelope you

" medical' use for the terminally ill is another subject, imo if it helps their quality of life then why not allow it ? and it seems to have been shown that it really does help some people....the problem is that not everyone legitimately needs it for medical use and it still comes from debatable sources.
