i have a 75g cichlid tank, started about 7 months ago. I bought: 1, red devil 2in. 2,jack dempseys 2in(who i now belive to be a pair). And 3, fire bellys.
In the first month the Devil killed one of my firebellys. He also tore up both dempseys who i had to move for a few weeks for them 2 heal. On the begging of the 4th month My dempseyswere around 3+.. didnt messure just guesing, and the firebellys were a little smaller. The devil seemed twice their size and Picked on all of them. When i walked up to the tank the devil was the only one who would Get scared and dart behind a Log made me lol.
I Then bought a pair of Red Jewels who were Very close to each other always. The male was probly 3inch and the femal a little smaller. One day the jewels are chillin next to their flower pot home and the Devil Strols in for a peek... The MAle Jewel Rocked his world. He dove right at him, bit the devil on the side and they started Rolling around Super fast. The devil swam away. Next day the jewels laid eggs.. the Jewels and the devil kept getting in fights so i gave the Devil to a fish store lady wit a 120g wit huge cat fish in it. she says hes doin awesome and Getting bigger each day.
i have 20 babys from those eggs that made it almost an inch long now in a 30g.. and early today the jewels had a new batch of babies never saw the eggs. kinda neet.
