Yes, she is a house chicken. Silkie Bantam.
I have been secretly scheming to get one of these since I saw one at the local fair last summer, the BF didn't question as to why I was cleaning out the big bird cage. He knew I was gonna get a bird.... but when I brought home a chicken there was a fair amount of WTFness in my house.
I found her in the local classifieds recently so I went out to get her. She's a cool bird. I named her Muppet because well, she kinda looks like some kind of muppet. She's pretty quiet and friendly. This is my first bird so I wanted something easy, cheap, and not too noisey... so a chicken seemed a good choice.

We call them "hippie" chickens around here. I had a couple till the neighbors dog got them. She's pretty. Your bf must have lots of patience. LOL

It helps that it's MY name on the lease. :) After all was said and done I caught him petting her and trying to give her a piece of his bagel this morning.

Cool!!!!!! I've always liked that kind of chicken. So soft!!!!!
