Loco you shouldn't expect the worst on here because it is a reptile forum.
We all are in the same boat.
If I posted a pic of my snake and people started slagging me off and assuming the worst, and that I didn't know how to care for it, you better believe I'd be peed off. And so would you (please don't say you wouldn't, we are more alike than you think and I know that would be your immediate reaction), Because I put in so much hard work, effort, time & money into caring and doing the best for my babies, its downrighr insulting to have people judge, critise and be rude to you before they know the situation.
Its a negative and up-your-bum attitude that isn't pleasant, isn't friendly and just a pain the rear.
Give everybody a chance. If they show themselves to be irresponsible, you have more than enough time to start the flaming/educating.
Another reason is, look what happened on the caiman thread. People started to jump the gun, and it turns out the fella was VERY experienced, and how foolish and silly did they look for jumping the gun. Instead of asking rather than immediately assuming (how conviently - The worst) it made them loo so small.
I love this hobby, but the sometimes lack of friendliness and downright rudeness and judging is enough to make anybody think about quitting.
